Play CHOOSE MOI on the big screen

Turn any TV, projector or shared monitor into a live multiplayer board game. Players buzz in from their phones — fastest correct answer wins the round.

Set up in 5 simple steps

  1. 1

    Open the TV host screen

On your TV or laptop, open the site and tap Host on TV, or go straight to /tv. Choose Hazard Assessment or Road Safety Challenge and pick how many rounds you want to play.

  2. 2

    Start a room

Tap Start room. The host creates a private room and shows a four-letter room code plus a QR code on the big screen. Up to 12 players can join.

  3. 3

    Players join on their phones

Each player opens /play on their phone, types the room code, or scans the QR code. They enter a nickname and wait in the lobby.

  4. 4

Start the game from the host

When everyone is in the lobby, the host taps Start game. Questions and videos appear on the TV; players tap A, B, C or D on their phones.

  5. 5

    Reveal and score

After each question the host reveals the correct answer. The first correct answer gets the most points; wrong answers score nothing. The live leaderboard updates on the TV after every round.

What players scan

The TV host shows a QR code like this one. Pointing a phone camera at it opens the player join page instantly — no app store, no passwords.

  • ✅ Works on iPhone, Android and tablets
  • ✅ No install required
  • ✅ Same Wi-Fi not required

Scan to join a game

No scanner? Type the code instead

Manual room-code entry always works — old phones, blocked cameras, cracked screens and all.

Enter a room code

Go to the join pagePrint player handout (PDF)

The handout contains the room code, join QR and the troubleshooting table — print it or save it as a PDF to share with players.

Can’t join? Run a self-test

We check your connection, camera permission, blocked tabs and whether the room code is actually live — then tell you the exact fix.

QR & room-code troubleshooting

Most setup issues are resolved in under a minute. Find your symptom below.

The room code is not found+

Room codes are only active while the host screen is open. Make sure the host has started a room and that you typed the four letters exactly as shown. The code is not case-sensitive, but it does not include the numbers 0, 1, 2, 5, 8 or the letters B, I, O, S, Z.

The QR code will not scan+

Hold the phone steady and make sure the whole QR code is visible on screen. Bright sunlight or a reflective TV can confuse the camera. If scanning fails, tap the room-code box and type the four letters manually.

A player cannot connect or keeps disconnecting+

The host and players both need an internet connection. Mobile data works fine. If one player drops, they can re-join with the same nickname and the same room code; their score is preserved for the current game.

The TV screen is too small to read+

Use a full-HD TV or projector and run the host in a modern browser. On most TVs you can press F11 on a keyboard or pinch-zoom out on a tablet to show the whole page. For the biggest text, use a laptop connected to the TV via HDMI and hide the browser toolbars.

No sound from the videos+

Check the TV volume and that the browser is not muted. Some browsers block sound until the user interacts with the page; tap the host screen once after the first video loads.

Scores are not updating on the TV+

Scores update after the host taps Reveal. If a player answered but their score did not change, check that the host screen is still on the same room and that the player joined with the correct code.

Can I run this without a smart TV?+

Yes. Any device with a browser and an HDMI output works — laptop, tablet, or desktop. Connect it to a TV or projector, open /tv, and start the room.
