Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

CHOOSE MOI provides interactive safety-training games for workplaces. For data-protection law, the "data controller" is the organisation that operates this CHOOSE MOI deployment. If you are playing a branded version supplied by your employer, your employer is usually the controller for workplace training records; CHOOSE MOI acts as a processor or sub-processor for the game platform.

2. What personal data we collect

• Account data: worker ID, PIN/password, and optional Google account details if you sign in.
• Profile data: display name, department or team, and any other details you enter in your profile.
• Game data: scores, turns, tiles landed on, certificates earned, and leaderboard entries.
• Demo request data: name, work email, organisation, industry, number of players, deadline and message submitted via the demo form.
• Technical data: browser type, device information, IP address and cookies/local storage choices (for example, language preference and subtitle settings).

3. Why we collect it

We process data so that employees can play the training games, supervisors can track completion, and we can respond to demo requests. The legal basis is usually:

• Legitimate interest / employment contract: running workplace safety training and keeping records.
• Consent: where you choose optional features such as a Google sign-in or newsletter/demo follow-up.
• Legal obligation: where health-and-safety training records must be kept.

4. How we store and protect it

Data is stored in the Lovable Cloud backend (Supabase) with Row Level Security, encrypted passwords, and role-based access for admin functions. PINs and passwords are never stored in plain text. Video content is embedded from YouTube; when you play a video, YouTube may receive your IP address and cookie data under its own privacy policy.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We use trusted service providers to host the platform and deliver videos. These may include:

• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting and database
• YouTube — video delivery
• Google — optional Google sign-in

6. How long we keep it

Game scores and certificates are kept for as long as your employer needs them for training records, typically up to the legal retention period for health-and-safety records. Demo request data is kept for up to 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Inactive accounts may be deleted after a reasonable period.

7. Your GDPR rights

If you are in the UK or European Economic Area, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your data in certain circumstances
• Restrict or object to processing
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis

8. Cookies and local storage

We use local storage and cookies to remember your language, subtitle preference, sound settings and sign-in session. These are necessary for the app to work. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Children

CHOOSE MOI is intended for workplace training and is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the app or the law changes. The latest version will always be available at this page.
